Yea the genealogy bit is tricky but to be fair in a practical world when is it ever needed? We know who are relatives are and that’s about it — in the rare cases where there’s some actual need — DNA’s so much better than last names :) and yes the paperwork sucks — that’s why we never got into making the changes in the first place!
