The BTK Killer — The Man Who Mailed In Self-Incriminating Evidence
Dennis Rader was upset that the police lied to him.
Picture this: a serial killer manages to get away with more than half a dozen murders over the course of 3-4 years and leaves investigators baffled and clueless.
However, he isn’t happy with the fact that no one's giving him credit for these horrendous murders so he decides to leave hints and taunts the media and investigating authorities in a variety of different ways. Yet, his ways and methods are too smart for the police or the FBI to track him down.
Then he goes quiet with no more murders, no more hints, and messages.
However, suddenly, out of nowhere a decade and a half after his last known murder, he springs into action again. Just when his investigation and search is deemed a cold case, he decides to get in touch with his investigating officer and even trusts him to be on his side. He drops hint after hint and communication after communication until he is finally caught.
