Thank you for acknowledging and being rational about it as you always are, birth rights are things people take for granted but forget the part luck played in. Not sure what I did to be lucky enough to be born in a great family by all means. I could easily have been born to an abusive dad, been an orphan, or been born in a poor slum of India or another country.

Americans (not all but in general many) often forget that birth privilege.

I remember talking to a Norwegian friend who said “oh why doesnt India have social welfare..everyone should” Easy to say for someone who was born in a country of 5 mn population and $75k gdp per capita ..not when ur talking abt a country with 1.4 bn people (280x of Norway) and a GDP per capita of $2k.
