some great points here Daniel - however a stock split has nothing to do with a stock being a value investment or not. If you were paying $1000 for the stock before and are paying 100 now, you are also only getting a 10th of the stake you were getting before - so that makes no difference.

Value investment is abt identifying fundamentally undervalued stocks and has nothing to do with “price” as the market cap / overall company value is what matters. 10x 10 is also 100 and 1 x 100 is also 100 - the latter doesnt make a stock cheaper / undervalued.
