She Killed Four Husbands In Search of “Perfect Love”
Nannie Doss took up to eleven lives out of “marital boredom.”
We’ve all probably gone through various people before settling in on a partner for life. The search for love true love is never easy.
Search, Date, Break-Up, Repeat.
Ah, the ever-so-familiar cycle. Yet, one particular woman took her search for the perfect love a bit too far. She’d follow the same processes as we all do with her own little tweak.
Her process would be something like this:
Search, Marry, Kill, Repeat.
And in the process, there would be some collateral damage. A few kids she’d have with those partners, and even grandkids in some cases. All in the name of not finding the right partner.
This is the fascinating story of Nannie Doss, also famously known as “The Giggling Granny” for her habit of chuckling during police interrogation and often enjoying her time in the spotlight and making jokes about the ways she poisoned and killed her husbands.
A troubled upbringing and child abuse
Nancy Hazle, who’d later come to be known as Nannie Doss, was born on Nov 4, 1905, in Alabama, to James and Lou Hazle.
