Nowhere close to hiking with Olympians - but I once signed up for a Duathlon in Nepal - in the Himalayas - not having rode a bike in 10 yrs and here I was 40km in the mountains .

It also happened to double up as the South Asian triathlon championships so it was crazy running and biking around elite athletes who finished the course in 2 hrs something when I took a 4:30 but there were only 27 finishers and i was second to last - I will take that any day!

These experiences are once in a lifetime stuff ! Great writing as always Walter!
