LinkedIn Is Getting Cheated, But the Real Loser Is You — the Creator
AI-generated content has a more evil cousin
Most of us are still finding our feet and coming to terms with a world where an AI tool can spit out poems, verses, and (seemingly) credible content.
But purists and traditional writers like me still believe that there is a market for genuine heartfelt content out there.
You can design a machine on a bunch of rules and learn everything from everywhere and build a bunch of coherent sentences.
But, you can’t infuse personality and soul into it. And you might soon get tired when each version looks and feels similar to the previous one.
And hopefully, there is no substitute for human creativity and evolution, or so we like to believe.
Genuine writing is rewarded by genuine engagement. Only words that speak to the soul trigger enough in people to comment, share, and in turn put a story in front of more eyeballs.
Algorithms reward true engagement. There is no substitute for that.
But what if true engagement could be faked too?
What if I tell you it is being faked and gamed left, right, and center?
