I struggle to see the resignations a result of the threat of infection..people have been over eager to let go of masks and less than eager to get vaccinated - 2 obv ways of increasing infection risk, so I dont believe thats really a reason. the other parts I partly agree with although it is a zero sum game so are the alternatives really that much better? In the longer run.
