On April 7, 2021, the city of Rock Hill, South Carolina would witness a mass shooting that would shock not just Rock Hill but the entire nation of America.

It would leave everyone wondering the simple question — Why?

The answer isn’t as simple as the question and to get to it we must start where it all began.

Phillip Adams — The Journey of a Football Star

Phillip Adams was born in 1988 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

His life would be defined by sports. He got into football and basketball at a very young age.

His football career really found some traction in his college days when at the South Carolina State University he made his way up the ranks starting in his freshman year right through his senior year.

He started off as a backup in his freshmen year and by the time he was in his senior year, his college career was finally highlighted by being named into the First Team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

College ended in 2009 and in 2010, Adams would go on to get his first NFL break. He made a…
