Did Medium Just “Enhance” Their Stats?
Or did my “enhanced stats” add-in finally work?
I am one of those that check their stats far too frequently. But, I mostly do this on mobile so I can only see the overview that you can see on the app.
I’ve also tried the Medium Enhanced Stats plugin on my computer but somehow it refuses to ever work, and never has since I installed it many months ago.
Today, however, when I opened my “stats” page I noticed a whole new look and feel and an additional section of “today” stats against each story going as far as six months ago. It has some very neat stats on daily “increment” views / reads / claps / follows on each of the stories.
When I see a spike in views on a day, my biggest question is which story took off and it has so far been super hard to find. Finally, I think I can figure it out thanks to this new avatar of stats.
Did my Enhanced stats app just start working correctly? In which case I apologize for sensationalizing a fixed bug on my own computer. Or did Medium just up their stats game? A simple fix that should have come long ago but I welcome any and all positive change.
Please enlighten me — and apologies if it is indeed the former.
