Coz we are talking abt 8 bn humans and not robots. Wanting to excel is a natural quest. Ever seen a 2 yr old kid frustrated coz (s)he csnt get something ? I have. A society built on "jst surviving" n existing isnt practical. Sure being content is an amazing thing but it isnt the easiest of things n there is a difference between contentment and aimlessness.
