As always solid advice backed by truly practicing what you preach. Like you I have stuck to organic growth of following. And I absolutely agree the following comes with consistent writing. I ended my first full month at about 98 followers (half a month of July meant 45 days to 98) ..and yet Sep was much better and I more than doubled that to cross 200..and I suspect it will only grow at a faster rate — IF I STAY CONSISTENT.

I think depending on some external factors a solid and consistent writer can easily shoot for the magical 1k followers mark by month 6–8.
