I am secretly a student of psychology, despite the fact that I have degrees in computer science, finance, and marketing.

My favorite thing to do is to observe people and judge them and form opinions about them even before I know them (yep, I am one of those).

Ok, I am exaggerating here, I don’t randomly start liking or hating people without knowing them (or do I?), but I do like to observe. And most often, what sub-conscious behavior says about a person is far more accurate than their conscious actions and words.

Here are a few of the observations that have almost always painted an accurate picture about a person, in my personal experiences.

Where you look when you talk to someone

The obvious answer to this might seem, of course, you look at the other person — into their eyes.

That is not true in reality. Next time you are having a conversation with someone over coffee, try to observe consciously where their eyes are.
